Action triggered by inspiration

Dear all,

In my first post, I talked about the right inspiration resulting to Pics from the Wild. The main one having been my coming across the Photo-Africa site and Gerry’s (the Photo-Africa host) quick responses to my mails. Up to that time, I had only uploaded a few pictures to the stock library. Yet in one of Gerry’s mails, he pointed out his blog and that was what triggered me. Reading through his blog, my urge to share grew and I started realizing that processing a picture could also be an option for me.

This being said, Photo-Africa is the first site I’d want to recommend, guessing it might also inspire you. All the links I refer to can be found in the column on the right of this post, just click the link, and it will open in a new tab.

By telling my own story here, I will prevent this from becoming a copy of Photo-Africa. I will borrow some of Jerry’s ideas though, inviting guest bloggers (hoping they want to join me), sharing an iPhone pic from time to time, …

To summarize, I want to share my work and to get your feedback (exchange, things that worked for you, …). It’s actually quite promising to see that in 1 week’s time close to 150 people have visited the site and this without any advertisement.

Looking forward to further interaction, let me add one for the road (moving over the picture will provide you with the title of the pic and the location it was taken).
